Industrial Psychology is also known as work Psychology. It is the scientific study of employees, workplace and organizations. It plays a big role when it comes to the organization’s success by improving the performance, satisfaction and well being of its employees. But Industrial Psychology is also facing some issues nowadays. One of which is all about today’s technology and its development. With the innovation of our technology it’s not possible to get the information you need in just one click away. As we all know, the internet can be a powerful tool that we can use. Why? Because with internet, you can do most of the things that may seem impossible before.  Unfortunately, some people sometimes use the technology to do illegal stuffs that may harm and affect others negatively. We heard a lot regarding hacking issues like stolen identities to gain financially, computers and ATMs being hacked to get bank account information so they could get the money of others. In short, some people use the benefits of what we call, “technology” for their own gain and benefit. The development of our technology is really a great job created by humans, until now the development does not stop there! Every day, every week, every month, every year there are still new updates, new version of software and equipment that will really help us with our everyday lives.

                Going back to the Industrial side, technology plays a big role in each and everyone’s job. Even if you may have the lowest position in a company, you still use technology. For example, in a Call Center Company, we may look at Security Guards as not that important in the industry, why? Because they just stand beside the entrance door, check your bag and roam around like they just don’t have anything to do so they just loiter in the production floor looking for someone that they can catch not following the company rules. Yes, they may also have the easiest and simplest job there but they still use technology. Have you seen their high-tech radios? It’s like a walky-talky thing that they use to communicate with other guards. They normally use it to report something or someone over the radio so they won’t get tired walking back to their quarters to report something to their officials, it’s just one radio away. They also have those scanners. It’s the black thing they use to check your bags, you don’t really need to open your bag anymore, the scanner has a sensor, and so if you bring a harmful weapon inside your bag, the scanner will make an annoying noise to let everyone know that you may be doing “something fishy”.

                Technology makes our life easier. If each and every one of us uses our technology in the right way, we can live in our world in the simplest and easiest way that we may never imagined.
